It's been a while...

For the past couple of weeks, it seemed like we haven't been able to go to bed earlier than 1am. Why? I wouldn't even know where to begin.

How do we function with just 4+ hours of sleep? That in itself, is worth a gold medal if you ask me :)!!

With the whole Olympics hoopla going on, it's just another added reason to NOT get any sleep. Thank goodness for DVR. DVR and the Olympics is like Peanut Butter and Jelly. THE BEST invention ever!

My BFF E has been in town for 3 weeks and it's been crazy. The second she got here from Indonesia, she was on the next plane out to New York for some major American retail therapy. We finally got together the day after she got back from New York and had dinner out, and ending up closing the restaurants. A couple of days later, we got together again since we were invited to go to her in-law's 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was so fun to see S' family again, and that dinner turned out to be a mini-Mervyns reunion with the M's and the D's there as well. It was SO much fun! Again, we closed down the restaurant and because we weren't ready to call it a night, we had an impromptu after party at the IL's house which lasted until who-knows-when.

Over the weekend, we had another get-together at the D's house for one last dinner before E and family head back home (today). We ate. We laughed. We reminisced. I made a little 10min slide show of the pictures we've taken since we started working together in 2000 at Mervyns. THAT was a riot. Then we watched the Olympics since BFF, her brother and his girlfriend missed the opening ceremonies while gambling/shopping in Vegas. Again, we didn't get home until was passed 1am.

And because we've been going to bed really late, we have been sleeping in and waking up at noon! Oh my heavens! Which then screws up our schedule even more because everything gets pushed back, and before we know it, we aren't in bed till past midnight. AGAIN! Is this madness ever going to end? I'm tired just thinking about it.

My parents were out of town over the weekend, coinciding with Mom's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! WE LOVE YOU! Glad you're home.
