Hopefully not...

My dad (who is scheduled to leave MNL on Sunday) texted me tonight saying that the Philippines is under State of Emergency due to the coup attempts against the government. His flight out comes just in time.

Hopefully nothing violent happens on what should be an observance of the victory of the Philippines and the Filipino people 20 years ago...

What a shame that things come to this time and time again....

Hopefully - Papa can fly out on time (and safely) as scheduled.
Hopefully - like 20 years ago, things proceed safely and without violence.

What has come to our country? It's such a shame.
