To my dearest Jake...
Mama is at work right now and all I can think of is how much I want to go home and cuddle you, and play with you, and just be with you and Daddy.
Daddy and I had such a great time picking out gifts for you this Christmas. Last weekend was spent going from place to place, making sure we can get what we can to your heart's content. We can't wait to see your eyes light up on Christmas Day after opening your gifts.
This is your third Christmas and every year gets better for us, Mama and Daddy. This year, you are aware of what Christmas is and what it brings. This year, you are able to enjoy how beautiful everything is - the lights, the tree, the wrapped presents. This year, you are overwhelmed and appreciative of your gifts and have been patiently waiting to open the one gift you know is yours, not really realizing that everything else under the tree is yours as well.
This year has been extra special for me - because I got to spend four wonderful months at home with you. I learned so much about you as I hope you did about me too. I look forward to seeing you evolve into your own little person and I can only hope that Daddy and I are doing our best in letting you grow. Being your Mama is the greatest accomplishment I've done in my life.
